Oracle’s departing ex-president, Gregory Maffei, was chosen by Liberty Media Corp. as its next chief executive. The Wall Street Journal reports that Maffei will join the company in the spring as CEO-elect and will also be named president. Maffei was a former Microsoft finance chief and was at Oracle for less than four months as chief financial officer and one of three co-presidents before announcing that he was leaving. Read more.
